Where Coach Leo gets your training data
Coach Leo coaches from real training, which means it has to read it from somewhere. Five sources do that job today. They are not interchangeable — one is two-way, one carries no history at all, two only exist inside a phone app — so each has its own page saying exactly what it does and what it does not.
Read-only
The main source. Works with any watch that already syncs to Strava.
Read more →Read and write
The only two-way link: Leo reads your workouts and sends sessions back to the watch.
Read more →Read-only
A direct link to your Polar watch, with one important caveat about history.
Read more →Read-only, on device
Import workouts from your iPhone, on the device, with no account to link.
Read more →Read-only, on device
The Android equivalent: read your workouts from your phone's health layer.
Read more →One source at a time
Leo reads one activity source at a time. Strava, Suunto, Polar and your phone's health store all carry the same workouts — a health store is fed by the same watch — so connecting a second one would duplicate every outing and leave you unable to tell which source Leo is actually reading. Switching sources takes two clicks on your connections page.
Start from what you actually ran.
Connect a source and Coach Leo builds your plan from your real history — your paces, your volume, your constraints.
