Injury prevention
What actually reduces running injury risk, and what does not.
This is the largest section of the library, and the one where the evidence is most uncomfortable for the running industry. The consistent finding across systematic reviews here is that strength training reduces injury rates in a dose-dependent way, while stretching and most gait-retraining interventions show far weaker effects than their popularity suggests. Training history and load errors predict injury better than any single biomechanical measurement.
Where the literature still argues: whether tendon pathology follows a true continuum, how much asymptomatic imaging findings matter in runners who feel fine, and which risk factors are genuinely causal rather than merely correlated. Leo uses this section conservatively. When a body signal you report matches a documented pattern, he cites the evidence and grades his response, and he refers you to a clinician rather than guessing when the picture crosses into medical territory.
