Ce qui réduit vraiment le risque de blessure en course, et ce qui ne le réduit pas.

C'est la plus grosse section de la bibliothèque, et celle dont les conclusions dérangent le plus l'industrie de la course. Le résultat le plus constant à travers les revues systématiques : le renforcement musculaire réduit les blessures de façon proportionnelle à la dose, alors que les étirements et la plupart des rééducations de la foulée montrent des effets bien plus faibles que leur popularité ne le laisse croire. L'historique de blessure et les erreurs de charge prédisent mieux la blessure que n'importe quelle mesure biomécanique isolée.

Ce qui reste débattu : la tendinopathie suit elle vraiment un continuum, quel poids donner aux anomalies d'imagerie chez un coureur qui n'a mal nulle part, et quels facteurs de risque sont réellement causaux plutôt que simplement corrélés.
