Vitesse critique, économie de course, et comment se prédisent réellement les chronos.

Deux fils traversent cette section. Le premier, c'est la mécanique de l'endurance : économie de course, modèles de puissance et de vitesse critiques, et la controverse jamais close sur ce qu'est vraiment le seuil anaérobie. Le second, c'est la prédiction, avec un ensemble d'articles sur l'estimation des temps de semi et de marathon à partir des données d'entraînement plutôt que d'une course récente.

C'est sur ce second fil que Leo s'appuie le plus, parce que c'est lui qui permet de vous donner une fourchette de temps sans exiger que vous ayez couru une épreuve avant. Les articles réunis ici sont aussi honnêtes sur les limites : la prédiction se dégrade fortement quand le volume est faible, quand le terrain change, et dans le cas particulier de l'effondrement de fin de course, qu'une analyse à grande échelle présente ici comme un phénomène à part entière et non comme une simple erreur de gestion. Leo présente donc toujours ses estimations en fourchettes avec un niveau de fiabilité affiché, jamais comme un chiffre unique et assuré.
